Toxicity Studies

We offer following completion of toxicity testing.

BASIC TOXICITY TEST

  • Acute Oral Toxicity

Determine tested substance potential has to make systematic toxicity signs. For the study, it's required to estimate the test product concentration (LD50) under controlled conditions.

  • Acute Skin Toxicity

Evaluate the potential of the test substance to cause systemic toxicity signs, and calculates the amount of substance that is lethal to 50% of the exposed population (LD50), under controlled conditions.

  • Acute Inhalation Toxicity

Evaluate tested substance toxicity potential, during 4 hours period, calculating the CL50, under controlled conditions.

  • Primary Eye Irritation

Evaluate the potential of the test substance to cause irritation or eye damage. It's required to register the irritation level.

  • Primary Skin Irritation

Evaluate tested substance potential to cause irritation or corrosion, for a short period of time.

  • Skin Sensitization

Evaluate tested substance potential to cause sensitization reaction or skin allergies. It's very important because identify the risks that might has an exposed population by using the product.

  • Subchronic Toxicity 28, 45 or 90 days

Allows determine the No Observed Level Effect (NOEL) and associated toxic effects on target organs and the potential tissue accumulation, that enables to establish safety criteria on human exposure to the product.

  • Chronic Studies

Allows determine the adverse effects occurring as a result of repeated doses and define the dose without adverse effect level (NOAEL).

  • Teratogenicity Studies

Allows evaluate the effects on the progeny by exposure to a substance during the organogenesis period.

  • Reproduction Studies

Allows determine the effects in the offspring through one or more generations from exposure to a substance.

  • Pathogenicity

Inquire the quality of a microorganism producer, disease (infectious) responsible or damage by toxins, noting general disorders of the exposed organism.

  • Carcinogenicity

Capacity of a substance to induce malignant neoplasms (Cáncer).
